Pediatric Hospitalist Locum Opportunity in California

Pediatric Hospitalist 

JOB DETAILS: We are looking for two providers who can cover 24hr IN HOUSE call for 5-7 days a month. Shift times will be 8am-8am. Providers can not work back to back shifts there needs to be at least one day in between. Again, the provider will be required to be in house for the entire shift. 

Responsibilities will include attending high risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, well baby rounding, NICU coverage at night, ED consults and pediatric admissions on a case by case basis. 

REQUIREMENTS: Active CA license and CA DEA NRP certification BLS, ACLS and PALS Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency 

PRIVILEGING: Please note that the privileging timeline will not begin until the RFA and application are turned back in. Typical turn around for RFA is 48-72 hours. Application should be submitted within 5 days. 

o Typical privileging timeline is 90 days 

o Once the file is completed, we can look at temporary privilege eligibility. 

o All HBS specialties require 2 years of current Hospital clinical activity in the specialty. o Gaps greater than 3 months must be explained. 

o Include current number of case logs upon presentation for surgical specialties.
