Pulmonology (Critical Care) Locum Opportunity in California

Location - California (CA) 

Start Date - July 1, 2026" 

End Date - Ongoing 

Schedule - 7 Shifts Per Month (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) 

Coverage Type - Clinic Only (Inpatient ICU Coverage) 

EMR - Epic

Compensation & Shift Structure

• Guaranteed Hours: 12 hours per day.
• Overtime (OT): No OT expected. If applicable, OT only begins after 12 hours.

Mandatory Provider Qualifications

• Licensure: Active California (CA) License and CA DEA (must be in hand).
• Board Status: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) within 3–5 years of residency.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS.
• Clinical Activity: Must show 2 years of current Hospital clinical activity in Critical Care.
• Work History: Any employment gaps greater than 3 months must be explained.

?Credentialing & Privileging (90-Day Timeline)

The facility has a very specific "clock" for their 90-day process:

1. RFA : Must be turned back within 48–72 hours of receipt.
2. Application: Must be submitted within 5 days.
3. Clinical Logs: Though this is Pulm/CC, the facility requests case logs be included upon presentation to verify the 2-year clinical activity requirement.

Temporary Privileges: Eligibility is only reviewed once the full credentialing file is complete.
