This position requires coverage for both clinic hours and a beeper-based call schedule.
- Specific Blocks Needed:
- November 21, 2026 – December 9, 2026
- December 27, 2026 – January 6, 2027
- Weekday Routine: * 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM: On-site Clinic/Inpatient duties (includes daytime call responsibilities). Note: The provider may not be required to be in the clinic all 5 days per week, but must remain available.
- 5:00 PM – 8:30 AM: Weeknight Beeper Call.
- Weekend Routine: 24-Hour Weekend Beeper Call coverage.
Clinical Requirements & Qualifications
- Licensure: Active California (CA) medical license.
- Certifications: Board Certified (BC) is highly preferred. Truly Board Eligible (BE) within 3–5 years of residency will be considered. Active DEA required.
- Fluoroscopy: California Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit is required (Temporary/interim permits are acceptable).
- Clinical Scope: Must be comfortable managing complex spine cases. No specific airway certifications are required.
Submission & Privileging Checklist
The facility adheres to a strict 90-day credentialing window. To prevent name-clear or processing delays, ensure the following are included at the time of presentation:
- Updated CV: Must display all current and historical hospital affiliations.
- Work Gaps: Any clinical or employment gaps greater than 3 months must be explicitly detailed and explained.
- Clinical Activity: Requires at least 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in Neurological Surgery.
- Case Logs: Providers must be prepared to submit 100 cases within the past 24 months specific to the neurosurgical privileges being requested. Case logs must be provided upon presentation.
