We are seeking Board-Eligible Anesthesiologists for an outpatient, clinic-only locum tenens assignment in Eureka, CA. This position features zero call and focuses on less critical cases at the Surgery Center.
Position Overview

- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Hours: 8 guaranteed hours per day. Overtime applies after 9 hours per day (must be pre-approved by the Medical Director).

Dates of Need & Candidate Routing
Urgent Summer Blocks (Strict "Clean File" Required): > Candidates for the following summer blocks must have a completely clean file (no malpractice, no NPDB marks, no actions) to qualify for expedited/temporary privileges. Secondary files will be immediately declined.
- July 20 – July 24, 2026
- August 3 – August 7, 2026
Fall/Winter Blocks (Standard Screening): > Candidates without a completely clean background can be considered as secondary options for these blocks:
- October: 10/12–10/16, 10/19–10/23
- November: 11/02–11/06, 11/09–11/13, 11/16–11/20, 11/23–11/27, 11/30–12/04
- December: 12/07–12/11, 12/14–12/18, 12/21–12/24, 12/28–12/31
Requirements & Qualifications
- Board Status: Board Eligible (BE) within 3–5 years of residency.
- Licensure/DEA: Active California (CA) medical license and active DEA registration.
- Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS.
- "Clean File" Definition: No large malpractice settlements, DUIs/substance history, practice restrictions, facility terminations, or state Medical Board actions.
