Advanced Gastroenterology Locum Opportunity in West Virginia

Work Details:

• Support staff: 9 APPs and several RN’s that work as support staff. We also have on staff many LPNs and MAs across 3 GI locations.  
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 2-3 weeks per month – will consider multiple providers
• Patients per day:  9
• Patient population/age:  18-?  Our average patient age is 58
• Department description: Our immediate need is advanced gastroenterology; ERCP, therapeutic ERCP, and EUS would be great. We have 9 APPs and several RN’s that work as support staff.  We also have on staff many LPNs and MAs across 3 GI locations. Two of our APPs are trained in advanced GI and do a preliminary evaluation of patients before scheduling with the advanced physician.  This is not an “on-call” position. We envision having a set outpatient schedule of ERCP and EUS procedures each day along with providing support to our call team by adding urgent inpatient cases to the schedule. Currently, we average 9 advanced cases per day.

• State license required: required – will look at IMLC candidates or candidates that qualify for the WV license

Certifications preferred:   

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS
