Interventional Cardiology Locum Opportunity in West Virginia

Position Highlights & Requirements

We are seeking a Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to provide 7 days of STEMI call coverage in West Virginia.

• Licensure: Active West Virginia (WV) State Medical License or IMLC required.
• Certifications: BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology, BLS, EMTALA compliant.
• EHR System: MEDITECH (Orientation preferred the day prior to shift start; duration varies based on Meditech familiarity).
• Scope of Practice: 24-hour STEMI call coverage plus availability for inpatient consults on unassigned cardiology patients and procedural work as credentialed.
• Supervision: No supervision of other healthcare providers required.

• Setting: Inpatient / Emergency Department based.
• Facilities: 3 Exam Rooms | 2 Dedicated Cath Labs.
• Staffing & Support:
• On-Site Team: 2 full-time Interventional Cardiologists on staff; additional general cardiologists present during assignment.
• Cath Lab Staff: Supported by 7 RNs and 8 Techs overall.
• Call Team: 3 RNs and 1 Tech per call team.

Workload Expectations

• Volume: Low to moderate locum call volume ranging from 0 to a few cases over the week.
