Interventional Cardiology Locum Opportunity in West Virginia

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist for a holiday-week STEMI call coverage block. This role supports a well-staffed department during a temporary coverage gap.

?Key Dates & Schedule

• Start Date: May 25, 2026 (7:00 AM)
• End Date: June 1, 2026 (7:00 AM)
• Orientation: Ideally scheduled for May 24th (the day prior to start). Orientation length is dependent on Meditech familiarity.
• Coverage Type: 24-Hour STEMI call + availability for unassigned cardiology inpatient consults and other credentialed procedures.

Clinical Environment & Volume

• Facility Details: All ER-based coverage. Access to 2 Cath Labs and 3 Exam Rooms.
• Volume: Typically ranges from 0 to a few cases per week.
• Staffing: You will work alongside 2 full-time staff Interventional Cardiologists.
• Support Team: 7 RNs and 8 techs total; the specific call team consists of 3 RNs and 1 tech.
• EMR: MediTech.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certification: Board Eligible (BE) in Interventional Cardiology.
• Life Support: Active BLS certification.
• Compliance: Must be familiar/compliant with EMTALA regulations.
• Licensure: Active West Virginia (WV) medical license.
