Urgent Care Locum Opportunity in Wisconsin

We are seeking an ABEM-certified Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment at a premier tertiary Level II hospital. This facility features an integrated Emergency Department and Urgent Care model, offering a consistent monthly schedule of approximately 5 to 8 shifts per month starting this September.

?Position Overview

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine (ABEM Required) / Urgent Care Focus
• Start Date: September 7, 2026 (First shift/Monday will include dedicated facility orientation)
• End Date: Ongoing
• Monthly Volume: 5–8 shifts per month
• Shift Duration: Standard 12-hour shifts
• Shift Times: * Day Shifts: 0600 – 1800 (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Mid Shifts: 1000 – 2200 (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
• Night Shifts: 1800 – 0600 (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Flexibility: If the primary facility fills its permanent role, qualified locum providers may be offered options to transition to alternate regional locations.

Confirmed Immediate Shift Needs (2026)

• September Night Shifts (1800–0600): September 15, 16, 17, 24, and 25
• October Day Shifts (0600–1800): October 3 and 4
• October Night Shifts (1800–0600): October 18, 19, 20, and 21

Practice & Clinical Details

• Care Model: Combined Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care model in a high-acuity tertiary Level II hospital.
• Support Staff: Robust Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) coverage present in Urgent Care daily from 0730 to 2400 across multiple overlapping shifts.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner

Requirements & Qualifications

• Board Certification: ABEM Board Certification is strictly required.
• Licensure: Active medical license and active DEA.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS.

Credentialing Timeline

• Processing Window: 60 Days (Clean background profiles required for expedited processing).
