Schedule Structure: Full-Time (Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with 1-Hour Lunch)

Coverage Type: Outpatient Clinic, Inpatient Rounding, & Shared Call

Minimum Commitment: 2–3 Weeks per Month (Full-time preferred; job-share/paired locums accepted)

Credentialing Timeframe: ~60 Days


?Position Highlights & Requirements

We are seeking a dual-trained Hematologist/Oncologist for full-time ongoing coverage. Candidates must be trained in both Hematology and Medical Oncology (pure Medical Oncology candidates are not eligible).

  • Licensure: Active State Medical License required.
  • Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BE) in Hematology and Medical Oncology; active ACLS, ATLS, and BLS.
  • EHR System: Cerner.
  • Required Procedures & Clinical Experience: Bone Marrow Biopsies required. Candidates must provide documentation of experience managing post-Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post-CAR-T Cell Therapy patients.
  • Administrative Requirement: Facility requires real-time mobile time clock tracking (GPS-enabled).
  • Guaranteed Hours: 8 guaranteed hours per day (Overtime threshold applied after 9 hours worked per day).


Practice Model & Clinic Scope

  • Care Team Structure: Join an established practice of 3 Physicians and 3 APPs, supported by dedicated RNs, MAs, patient navigators, infusion nurses, and radiation oncology services.
  • Infusion Supervision: Physicians supervise their own chemotherapy clinic patients.
  • Clinic Call: Shared weekday clinic call handles add-on consults and chemotherapy supervision for off-duty providers.


Hospital Call & Rounding Schedule

  • Call Rotation: 1:4 weekly hospital call (Friday 7:30 AM – Friday 7:30 AM).
  • Inpatient Rounding: 1–2 hours daily rounding (Monday – Sunday) with additional weekday afternoon rounding (4:00 PM – 5:00 PM).
  • Inpatient Population: Acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy management. Primary call volume consists of phone consults with rare hospital call-backs.
