Specialty: Hematology & Medical Oncology (Dual Hem/Onc Expertise Required)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-Hour Unpaid Lunch) + Shared Call

Coverage Structure: Outpatient Clinic, Inpatient Rounding, & Shared Call

Minimum Commitment: 2–3 Weeks per Month (Full-time preferred; paired locums considered)

Credentialing Timeframe: ~60 Days


?Position Highlights & Requirements

We are seeking a Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist for full-time ongoing coverage. Candidates must be trained in both Hematology and Medical Oncology.

  • Licensure: Active State Medical License required.
  • Certifications: Board Eligible (BE) in Hematology and Medical Oncology; active ACLS, ATLS, and BLS.
  • EHR System: Cerner.
  • Procedural Skills: Bone Marrow Biopsies required. Must have documented post-Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post-CAR-T Cell Therapy experience.
  • Operational Requirement: Must utilize a real-time mobile time tracking system (GPS-enabled).
  • Guaranteed Hours: 8 guaranteed hours per day (Overtime applies after 9 hours worked per day).


Clinical Scope & Team Structure

  • Department & Support: Join a robust team of 3 MDs and 3 APPs, fully supported by clinical RNs, MAs, patient navigators, infusion RNs, and dedicated Radiation Oncology services on-site.
  • Chemo Supervision: Providers directly supervise their own chemotherapy clinic patients.
  • Clinic Call: Shared weekday clinic call handles add-on consults and supervises chemotherapy patients for absent providers.


Hospital Call & Rounding Schedule

  • Call Ratio: 1:4 weekly hospital call rotation (Friday 7:30 AM – Friday 7:30 AM).
  • Inpatient Rounding: 1–2 hours of daily rounding (Monday – Sunday). Afternoon rounding is conducted from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM on weekdays.
  • Inpatient Case Mix: Management of acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy administration.
  • Call Intensity: Primary duties involve phone consults; callbacks into the facility are rare.
