Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Board Eligible Specialist to support our transplant program in Washington. This role focuses on high-acuity transplant care, specifically providing one week of coverage per month.


??Schedule & Availability

  • Start Date: ASAP (Pending 30–60 day credentialing)
  • End Date: Ongoing
  • Rotation: 7-day call blocks (Monday 8:00 AM – Monday 8:00 AM).
  • Frequency: One week per month.


Clinical Scope & Responsibilities

  • Inpatient Call: Consult on post-kidney transplant patients, manage kidney-specific needs, and provide nephrology input for liver patients.
  • Transplant Duties: Write dialysis orders and manage immunosuppression protocols.
  • Triage: Field calls from ERs, outside hospitals, and physicians regarding immunosuppression management.
  • Clinic: Outpatient clinic coverage is required only if the candidate is a fellowship-trained Transplant Nephrologist.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Specialization: Must have completed transplant-specific training or demonstrate significant experience managing kidney transplant patients.
  • Certification: Board Eligible (BE).
  • Licensure: Active Washington (WA) license or active IMLC (Compact) qualification.
  • EMR: Proficiency in Epic is required.
