Cardiothoracic Surgery Locum Opportunity in Washington

?Position Highlights & Requirements

We are seeking a Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for ongoing monthly coverage in Washington. Candidates must have ongoing availability for at least 2 weeks per month, with preference given to a single provider able to handle full-time coverage.

• Licensure: Active Washington (WA) State Medical License or active IMLC required.
• Certifications: Board Certified (BC) in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• EHR System: EPIC.
• Schedule Pattern: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily hours. Includes 1 clinic day per week, standard OR surgical days, 2 weekday call nights per week (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM), and full weekend call coverage.
• Call Rules: Weekend call runs Friday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM. Coverage blocks cannot end mid-weekend (must end on a Friday 7:00 AM or Monday 7:00 AM).

Candidates must be proficient and experienced in high-acuity adult cardiac procedures:

• Impella 5.5 Placement & Support: Required
• Aortic Valve Conservation Procedures: Required
• Aortic Root Remodeling & Enlargement: Required
• Minimally Invasive Mitral Valve Surgery: Preferred
