REQUIRED DUTIES/PROCEDURES
- Aortic Surgery Procedures Required: Descending Aortic Aneurysms
- Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery Procedures Required: CABG, Redo Coronary Revascularization(With or Without Heart Valve Surgery), Arterial Revascularization(Using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery and Gastroepiploic Artery), Pericardial Window, Tube Thoracostomy, Thoracic aortic aneurysms
- Thoracic Endoscopy Procedures Required: Flexible and Rigid Bronchoscopy, Thoracotomy Lung Resections and Pneumonectomy, Chest Wall Resection and Reconstruction, Mediastinal Surgery
- Vascular Surgery Procedures Required: Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery, Heart Valve Replacement Without Surgery (CoreValve® System), Mitral Valve Repair
~Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 - 120 days; EMERGENCY TEMP PRIVS AVAILABILE FOR DEC 1 START
Submission Requirements

- Board Certification (American Board of Thoracic Surgery) - REQUIRED
- Active VA license & DEA - REQUIRED, no exceptions
- BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED
