We are seeking a Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist for an ongoing, weekend-focused call coverage assignment in Texas. This position is strictly call-based, providing an excellent opportunity for a local or regional physician looking to secure premium weekend revenue with complete daytime scheduling flexibility.
?Clinical Schedule & Regional Constraints
- Travel Restriction: Drive-in candidates only. The facility will not consider fly-in candidates; providers must live within driving distance of the site.
- Monthly Volume Target: Up to 15 days per month, structurally focused around 2 or 3 weekends per month.
- Shift Structure: Continuous 24-Hour Beeper Call shifts running 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM.
- Scheduling Flexibility: The medical staff office is highly collaborative and willing to distribute these blocks across 2 or 3 rotating providers to optimize monthly coverage.
- Scope of Practice: Inpatient pediatric rounding, emergency department consultations, newborn nursery coverage, and pediatric admission management.
Requirements
- Certification: Board Eligible (BE) in Pediatrics.
- Licensure: Active Texas (TX) Medical License or an active, assignment-ready IMLC passport.
- Life Support: Active BLS and ABLS certifications.
