Description

Coverage Details: 

  • Frequency of any Call needed: None
  • Schedule Details: Monday-Friday, 8hrs, 8a-5p. Covering while primary doctor is out, June 19, 2026 – June 29, 2026


Work Details: 

  • Support staff: 1-2 RNs, 1 rehab tech, 3 therapists, locum will supervise 2 PAs
  • Department Description: Pediatric rehabilitation (no pediatricians, adult PMR or Peds Rehab are fine). No new patients will be accepted during times of coverage and we will try to minimize discharges as able. Covering physicians will supervise 2 largely self-sufficient PAs who can manage notes, orders, and communication with families. Thursdays involve a team conference with the entire rehab team (nursing, therapists, child life, music therapy, case management and sometimes pharmacy) to discuss progress, goals, and anticipated discharge for each patient. Clients usually leads these meetings but the PAs are always present and can take the lead. The primary need/reason for coverage is SCDHHS requirement for an MD or DO with rehabilitation training seeing each patient face-to-face at least twice each week after the first week of their stay (3 times during the first week).

Requirements: 

  • Are Board Certifications Req’d?:  No

  • Any additional requirements/details to screen for?: Name clear & NPI #, clean backgrounds only
  • Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: 60-90 days with clean files

  • Is IMLC Accepted?: No
  • Which travel is billable (airfare / hotel / rental car / mileage / etc): all
