Gastroenterology Locum Opportunity in South Carolina

Coverage Details: 

• Coverage needed per month (24hr / hourly shifts / shifts + call, etc): Friday – Sunday, weekly
• Frequency of any Call needed: 3 days a week 
• Schedule Details: Friday at 3PM to Monday at 7AM (Times can be negotiated)

Work Details: 

• Support staff: TBD
• Amount of coverage needed per month: Friday – Sunday, weekly 
• Patients per day: 8 – 12 patients per day 
• Patient population/age: 33% Adolescents, 33% Pediatrics, & 33% Newborn
• Department description: Pediatric Gastroenterology  
• EMR: EPIC
• Hospital bed size: 50
• Skills preferred: X-Ray Interpretation 
• Skills required: Consult Service only. Standard of care is to manage anything else urgent like a bleed etc. which we are expecting to be done but are uncommon. Other scopes are up to the discretion of the provider if it is urgent enough to be done on the weekend. 

Requirements: 

• Are Board Certifications Req’d?:  BC in Peds GI or GI required 
• Which State License(s) Req’d?: SC required
• Certifications Req’d? (BLS / ACLS / etc): BLS, ACLS
• Specific Skills Req’d?: 
• CSR Req’d?: Yes 
• DEA Req’d?: Yes 
• Minimum Experience Req’d (# of years): 2 years minimum experience
• Are vaccines mandatory?: Flu, MMR, Varicella (waivers are accepted)
• Any additional requirements/details to screen for?: clean backgrounds only; if not clean then provider msust have 1st and 3rd party statements included with submission.
• Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: 90-120 days with active SC license. Without active SC license, 120 minimum (recent experience has taken closer to 5 months for non-licensed providers to be granted privileges).
