Urology Locum Opportunity in Pennsylvania

We're looking for two Board Certified (BC) Urologists to join our team for ongoing locum tenens coverage, starting as soon as possible. This role involves a combination of call only responsibilities within a multi-hospital system.

???Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: You must be able to work a full block of Monday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM (24/7 coverage) for rotating call.
• Call Responsibilities:
• 24-hour call (Monday-Monday) for consults, emergent surgeries, and anything our APPs can't cover.
• Weekend call includes rounding on any inpatients as needed.
• Call coverage is for three hospitals all within a 10-mile radius.
• Call Volume: Typically light during the week, but could be heavier on weekends as dedicated urology staff are only on-site Monday-Friday.
• Estimated Cases: An average of 10 cases weekly (this is an estimate).
• Pediatric Cases: Testicular torsion would likely be the only emergent pediatric case you'd handle; other pediatric urology cases are referred to a pediatric urologist.
• Support & Environment:
• Each hospital has dedicated urology-specific staff (PAs or NPs) who work weekdays from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. They handle initial consults, see and prep cases, and manage scheduling.
• Locations receive acute transfers from community hospitals within the system.
• EMR System: We use Epic for our electronic medical records.
