Practice Details Malignant Hematology - July through September 2026 (potentially longer but it's to onboard new perms) Outpatient + Inpatient Responsibilities split between weeks (1:3 or 2:2, etc) Clinic + rounding = Monday - Friday, 8a-5p (15-20 outpts, 25-40 inpts) Weeknight Call = Monday - Thursday, 5p-8a Weekend Rounding + Call = 1-2 wknds per month: Friday at 5pm - Monday at 8am.
*Must have previous Malignant Hematology experience.
*Will be working with APP team on inpatient service.
*Client will look at inpatient only candidates & IMLC license Specialty: Malignant Hematology EMR system: EPIC Reason for Coverage: Permanent recruitment due to provider leaving FTE or Shifts per month needed: 1 FTE, 40 hours per week, 4 weeks per month Target start date and Length of need: Late April/Early May - 6 months at least
Locums Shift Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8a-5p with 1 hour lunch; All clinic patients + charting should be complete during this time; Overtime must be approved by hiring manager for extenuating circumstances only.
Daily Shift Responsibilities: Responsible for treatment plans for new patients and follow up visits Call Schedule and Call Responsibilities: 5p - 8am Monday - Thursday pager call; fellows are already on call overnight, so any call would be 2nd call if fellows had questions; No weekend call Type of patients / cases / procedures required: Leukemia/lymphoma & malignant hematology cases (will NOT see bone marrow transplant patients); APP's perform all bone marrow biopsies - no other procedures required Patients Per Day/Volume: 15-20; new visits = 45 minutes; follow-up visits = 20 minutes Available support staff & physician support: 4 MD's, APP's, RN's + MA's
Certifications required (Board Certification/Truly Board Eligible or life support, etc.): BC - Hematology required; BLS, ACLS, PA license, PA DEA Will you accept licensure candidates (IMLC or standard process)? Yes - but an active PA license is strongly preferred Minimum candidate commitment to consider: 2 weeks/month - consecutive or alternating *Hospital Privileging: 90-120 days from application to network committee meeting - Application is required to be completed and returned with all documentation within 10 days of receipt.
Miscellaneous Information: Act 33 - Child Abuse Registry, Act 34 - PA State Police Check & Act 73 - FBI Background Check all required to be completed during privileging.
