Hematology Oncology Locum Opportunity in Pennsylvania

Practice Details 

• Specialty: Medical Oncology 

• EMR system: EPIC 

• Reason for Coverage: Physician departure • FTE or Shifts per month needed: 1 FTE • Target start date and Length of need: July 2026 – December 2026 (with potential for additional coverage through July 2027) 

• Locums Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm; no holiday coverage, no OT • Daily Shift Responsibilities: Outpatient clinic; ordering treatment for patient population; managing results and in-basket items for patient care 

• Call Schedule and Call Responsibilities: No call at all • Type of patients/cases/procedures required: medical oncology/hematology, new and established outpatient population 

• Patients Per Day/Volume: 14-16 per day 

• Available support staff & physician support: collaborative RN + office staff • Certifications required: Will accept Board Certification in Medical Oncology, Hematology/Oncology or Hematology only 

• Will you accept licensure candidates (IMLC or standard process)? Yes - will accept with LOQ in hand • Certifications required: Will accept Board Certification in Medical Oncology, Hematology/Oncology or Hematology only 

• Minimum candidate commitment to consider: minimum of 2 weeks per month for at least 4-6 months total 

• *Hospital Privileging: AHN Credentialing policy has changed and they no longer allow temporary privileges to be issued without the file going to 1 or 2 committee meetings first (APP/CRNA = 2, MD = 1). New files will now take 3-4 months to obtain privileges. Quick/complete application submittal + verifications being returned will be the main factors in pushing for earlier committee meetings.
