Advanced Gastroenterology Locum Opportunity in Pennsylvania

• Practice Details Specialty: Advanced Gastroenterology
• EMR system: EPIC
• Reason for Coverage: Extra Volume
• FTE or Shifts per month needed: .5 FTE (opposite a locum already scheduled)
• Minimum candidate commitment to consider: 1 week per month
• Inpatient, Outpatient or both: Inpatient GI during the day
• Target start date and Length of need: May 18-24, and June 22-28 + more weeks July - forward (site working on these)
• Locums Shift Schedule : M-F in GI Lab: 8A-4P; Sat/Sun - Inpatient Call + Consults
• Call Schedule and Call Responsibilities: 24/7 Call for General GI + ERCP (outpatient + inpatient); Weeknight call = 4:30pm - 8am; Weekend Call 4:30pm on Friday to 8am on Monday
• Type of patients / cases / procedures required: General GI + ERCP (does NOT include unreferred ER call); EUS preferred but not required
• Patients Per Day/Volume: 15-20 patient census going into the weekend.
• Procedure census on weekend around 5-7
• Available support staff & physician support: GI lab staff, MA and nurse in the office. APPs during the week and some weekends
• Trauma Level: Level 3
• Miscellaneous Information: 303 Staffed Beds; Anesthesia is not always available in the GI lab (Mon-Fri 8a-3p). If locum is not conscious sedation capable they have to go in the OR queue

Submission requirement:

• License requirement: Strongly prefer already licensed in PA but will accept IMLC candidates;
• Board Certified - Gastroenterology;
• ACLS + BLS;
• Conscious Sedation strongly preferred;

Hospital Privileging:

60-90 days for clean files only; any malpractice/background will require legal review and may not be eligible for locums privileges
