Cardiothoracic Surgery Locum Opportunity in Pennsylvania

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic (CT) Surgeon for a dedicated, recurring Locum Tenens commitment starting in January 2026. The ideal candidate will provide 10 consecutive days of coverage per month to support the hospital's current CT surgeon.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery (CT)
• Start Date: January 2026
• Schedule: 10 consecutive days per month. (The facility is open to discussing accommodations if 10 consecutive days are not feasible for the candidate.)
• Location: Coverage is primarily at the hospital, with outpatient duties two blocks away.

Scope of Work

This role focuses primarily on inpatient, emergency, and operative coverage, with the assistance of two dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

• Inpatient/Rounding: Rounding with APPs each morning. APPs work 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM.
• Surgical: Coverage for emergency OR cases.
• Consults: Handling emergency consults.
• Clinic: Seeing outpatient clinic patients as needed (located two blocks from the hospital).

Note: It would be rare for the physician to spend a full 8 hours in the hospital on a typical weekday.
