Emergency Medicine Locum Opportunity in Oregon

We are seeking 1 to 2 qualified Emergency Medicine Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in Medford, Oregon. This position offers flexible 4 to 8 shift monthly commitments (typically structured in 4-shift blocks).

?Position Overview

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine (ED)
• Start Date: Target Orientation on November 10, 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Volume/Commitment: 4–8 shifts per month (Preference for 1–2 blocks of 4 consecutive shifts)
• Coverage Type: Inpatient ED Shifts Only (No standalone call)
• Physician Interview: Medical Director phone interview required for all candidate presentations.

Shift Patterns & Scheduling Flexibility

• Primary Shift Options:
• Day/Mid Shift (12-Hour): 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Night Shift (7–8 Hour): 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Major need; providers may occasionally stay until 7:00 AM depending on department flow)
• Shift Mix Requirement: Providers must be open to working night shifts. Candidates seeking exclusively day shifts will not be accepted.
• Overtime & Guaranteed Hours Policy: Hours guarantee and overtime thresholds dynamically align with the specific shift length scheduled.

Facility & Clinical Scope

• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 37,000 visits annually across the department.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Epic

Requirements & Qualifications

• Board Certification: Board Eligible (BE) within 3–5 years of residency completion in Emergency Medicine.
• Licensure: Active Oregon (OR) medical license and active DEA.
• Required Certifications: ATLS
• Onboarding Responsiveness: To meet the November orientation target, candidates must return the RFA within 48–72 hours and complete the privileging application within 5 days of receipt.
