Orthopedics Locum Opportunity in Oklahoma

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Board Eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon for ongoing ED call coverage in Oklahoma. The facility is currently looking to fill an immediate block in July 2026, with recurring needs of 9 shifts per month and a focus on long-term 2027 scheduling.

??Key Dates & Immediate Needs

• Initial Block: July 17, 2026 (7:00 AM) – July 21, 2026 (7:00 AM)
• Future Frequency: 1–2 weekends per month on an ongoing basis.

Clinical Requirements & Scope

• Must-Have Skills: Proficiency in Total Hips (specifically for hip fractures coming through the ED) and simple fractures is a strict requirement. Total Knees are preferred but not a deal-breaker.
• Call Details: This is a 24-hour call; you are not required to stay on-site but must respond to calls within 15 minutes and arrive at the facility within 30 minutes.
• Patient Census: Average of 10 orthopaedic inpatients. Callback time ranges from 0 to 4 hours.
• Support Staff: 2 local integrated surgeons and 1 non-integrated physician with privileges.

Qualifications

• Certification: Board Eligible (BE)
• Life Support: Active ACLS and BLS.
• Licensure: Active Oklahoma (OK) medical license.
• EMR: Proficiency in Epic.
