Description

We have an immediate and ongoing need for a Board-Eligible (BE) Interventional Gastroenterologist to provide hospital proceduralist and call coverage in Oklahoma, starting as soon as credentialed.

  • Specialty: Gastroenterology (Interventional)
  • Start Date: January 12, 2026 (or ASAP once credentialed)
  • End Date: Ongoing
  • Coverage Type: Call Only (Hospital Proceduralist and Call)
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient
  • EMR: Epic
  • License: Active Oklahoma (OK) License or IMLC eligibility/license.
  • Credentialing Timeline: 60 Days


Schedule & Commitment

  • Commitment: Seeking 1–2 weeks per month. Preference is given to providers with a minimum of 2 weeks per month availability, but candidates offering 1 week per month will be considered for a minimum of 9–12 months.
  • Daily Call Coverage: Average expected time is 12 hours in-house (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM) followed by 12 hours of on-call (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM).


Scope of Work & Volume

  • Daily Volume: Average of 15–20 patients per day plus 5 procedures.
  • Call Activity (7 PM – 7 AM):
  • Average calls while on call: 0–10.
  • Average overnight callbacks: 1–3 times per week.


Critical Experience Requirements

  • Required Training: Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited fellowship in Gastroenterology that included training in ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography).
  • Required Current Experience: Must demonstrate current competence and evidence of:
  • Performance of at least 200 therapeutic ERCP procedures.
  • 40 sphincterotomies.

10 stent placements in the past 12 months OR completion of training in the past 12 months.
