  • Will the Locum Provider Be Cutting Their Own Frozen Sections on the Cryostat? Yes
  • How Many Physicians in the Group?  4
  • How Many Histotechnologists? 5
  • How Many Pathology Assistants?  1
  • How Many Cytotechnologists? 2
  • Will the Locum Tenens Physician be Required to Supervise Other Healthcare Providers? No
  • Will Other Pathologists Be Present During the Locum's Coverage? Yes
  • Equipment: Thin prep integrated imager, by Hologic
  • Type of Cryostat:  Cryostat-Avantik QS12UV, Avantik QS II
  • Type of Microscope: Nikon Eclipse E400, Olympus BX41
  • Cytology Proficiency Exam Required for GYN Cytolology? Yes
  • Method of Preparation?  Thinprep
  • Documentation System/EMR: EPIC/Beaker
  • Trauma Level/Designation: Level 3
  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 40- 45 days


Required Anatomic Pathology Procedures:  

  • Surgical Pathology
  • Cytology


Responsibilities will include general anatomic pathology, frozen section analysis, and cytology. The current surgical pathology volume is approximately 13,000 surgical specimens and 3,000 cytology specimens per year. 


Submission Requirements

  • AP Board Certified - [REQUIRED]
  • Active NY State license - [REQUIRED]
  • A Self-Query NPDB report is required at the time of presentation (Should be pulled within 30 days) - [REQUIRED]
