Cardiovascular Surgery Locum Opportunity in New York

Health Hospital is seeking a Locum Cardiovascular Surgery PA to start as soon as credentialed for an ongoing assignment!

Dates of Coverage:  2/1/26-5/1/26

Schedule (Shifts/Hours):  M-F 0700-1700

Reason for Coverage: Paternity leave 

Practice Setting:  Hospital Cardiac surgery, Operating room mostly with some ICU/floor coverage 

Call Schedule:  Varies   1-2 evenings a week, Operating call from  home 

Call Ratio: 1/week 

Average Number of Patients Per Day:  Varies 

Documentation System/EMR:  Epic

Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2

Will APP be Working Autonomously?  No

Patient Age Demographic: Adult 

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe:  1 month

Required Duties: 

• Chest Tube Insertions
• Retrieval of Vascular Tissues for Use as a Bypass Conduit
• OR 1st assist

Submission Requirements

• NCCPA - [REQUIRED]
• Active NY State License - [REQUIRED]
• BLS & ACLS - [REQUIRED]
• Must have cardiac surgery operating experience, 1st assist, vein harvest etc.
• Robotic experience a plus
