Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated General Surgeon to provide call coverage starting March 1, 2026. This is an ongoing assignment at a quiet, low-volume facility, ideal for a provider looking for a manageable pace without clinic responsibilities.
- Start Date: March 1, 2026 (Ongoing)
- Schedule: 7–10 days per month
- Shift Times: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
- Coverage Type: Call Only (Beeper call; no scheduled clinic or hospital rounds)
?Clinical Environment
- Facility Type: Small community hospital (No trauma designation)
- Volume: Expected to be low; minimal call-backs anticipated.
- Response Time: Provider must be within 20–30 minutes of the hospital while on call.
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Licensure: Active New Mexico (NM) State License & DEA.
- Board Status: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) within 5 years of residency.
- Certifications: Current BLS.
- Compliance: Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) enrollment is required.

- Timeline: Approximately 90–120 days.
