The need is for consistent weekday outpatient coverage across multiple locations. The specific schedule and rotation among locations can be coordinated based on operational needs and the provider’s availability.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. This is outpatient general neurology coverage only, with no inpatient coverage, night call, weekend call, or holiday coverage anticipated.
Full-time availability is preferred. Providers must be able to commit to a consistent minimum of three days per week to be considered.
- The schedule may rotate among multiple locations, with the provider assigned to one location per day. The specific schedule and site rotation will be coordinated in advance based on patient access needs and provider availability.

- Average # of Patients Per Day: Approximately 14–18 outpatient clinic patients per day, depending on the mix of new and established patients. The anticipated daily mix is approximately 3–5 new patients and 10–13 follow-up patients. Additional time should be allowed for complex new-patient evaluations.
- Trauma Level Designation: Not applicable. This position is limited to outpatient neurology practices and does not include trauma or emergency coverage.
- Required Duties, Procedures, Skills, etc: Evaluate and manage new and established adult and geriatric general-neurology patients.
- Manage common neurological conditions, including headache and migraine, seizure disorders, neuropathy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, cognitive disorders, and post-stroke follow-up.
- Review diagnostic imaging, laboratory results, and outside medical records.
- Order appropriate diagnostic testing and manage medications.
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, APPs, specialists, and other members of the neuroscience team.
- Complete documentation, patient messages, test-result review, and follow-up responsibilities promptly.
- Provide independent outpatient coverage and work comfortably across multiple practice locations.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
- Active, unrestricted New Jersey medical license or ability to obtain one.
- Active DEA and New Jersey CDS before the start date.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to provide consistent adult outpatient general-neurology coverage.

- Additional Notes: This opportunity supports an established and growing neuroscience program serving communities throughout southern New Jersey. The provider will work with an interdisciplinary team and an established referral network. The practice locations include multiple locations, with schedules and site assignments coordinated in advance.
CREDENTIALING:
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90–120 days after receipt of a fully completed application. The timeframe is dependent upon receipt of all required documentation, primary-source verifications, references, background checks, an active New Jersey medical license, DEA registration, New Jersey CDS registration, and completion of Medical Staff approval and payer-enrollment requirements. Incomplete files may delay the process.
