PA- Surgery - Cardiothoracic Locum Job in Atlantic City, NJ

SCHEDULE : 

• Weekday, weekend, and night call coverage needed (varied shifts)
• Dates of Coverage: ASAP – October 2

JOB DESCRIPTION : 

• Reason for Coverage: losing 3 PAs in September 
• Practice Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-based
• Reason for Coverage: Losing 3 PAs in Cardiothoracic Surgery (effective October)
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: Operate on 2/day; round on 5–12 patients/day (ICU and floor); includes consults
• Documentation System/EMR: Cerner
• Trauma Level/Designation: None
• Will You Accept Providers Needing to Obtain State License? No – need help now

Required Procedures:

• Retrieval of Vascular Tissues for Use as a Bypass Conduit
• Endoscopic Retrieval
• Chest Tube Insertions
• First Assist in OR for Cardiac Surgery

Required Duties:

• Rounding
• Coordination of Care
• Assist in Surgery
• Diagnose and Treat Illnesses
• Order and Interpret Tests
• Write Prescriptions
• Suture Removal

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS : 

• NCCPA Certification – REQUIRED
• New Jersey License – REQUIRED (no time to wait for licensing)
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience, including proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH). – REQUIRED
• Experience with Cerner EMR – Preferred
