Descriptions :  Ortho. Surgery coverage for Level II Trauma Center - no office hours 

Schedule/Availability Requirements

• Aug 10 – Aug 16; 7a – 7a
• Sept 21 – Sept 27; 7a – 7a
• Oct 12 – Oct 18; 7a – 7a
• Nov 16 – Nov 22; 7a – 7a
• Dec 07 – Dec 13; 7a – 7a

Setting: Inpatient/ED

FTE: 24/7 Call coverage

Duties: ortho Level 2 trauma call; surgical cases as needed

Required Procedures: general orthopedic care, fracture care

EMR: EPIC

Support Staff: ED and OR staff 

Reason for Coverage: lack of available orthopedic surgeons to complete call schedule

Deal breakers (do not present this): must have a Nebraska license

Credentialing Information:

Timeframe: 30-60 days

Requirements: Orthopedic surgeon

Credentialing with other facilities? No

Billing enrollment - Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less?: No

Board Certification – Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedics [REQUIRED]

NE License [HIGHLY PREFERRED] or IMLC [REQUIRED]

Residency Requirements/Fellowship – Orthopedic Residency Required [REQUIRED]

Other Certifications – ATLS [HIGHLY PREFERRED], DEA [REQUIRED]

Malpractice – Clean Preferred [HIGHLY PREFERRED]

Availability at time of name clear – [REQUIRED]

Case logs required at time of presentation - client will require before interviewing/offering provider
