We are seeking a Board Certified General Surgeon for two high-yield weekend call blocks in North Carolina. This is a traditional "Bread and Butter" surgical role focused on emergency consultations and procedures. The facility offers high-quality, on-site hospital apartments to ensure the required 20-minute response time is met comfortably.
??Clinical Details & Schedule
- Shift 1: July 10 (7A) – July 13 (7A)
- Shift 2: July 24 (7A) – July 27 (7A)
- Scope: Hernia repair, cholecystectomy, breast surgery, abscess drainage, endoscopy (EGD/Colonoscopy), appendectomy, and small bowel/colon surgery.
- Call Response: Must remain within 20 minutes of the facility (On-site housing provided).
- Gratis Requirement: 4 hours gratis daily.
- EMR: MediTech 6.1.
Requirements
- Certification: Board Certified (BC) in General Surgery.
- Licensure: Active North Carolina (NC) License & NC DEA (with NC address).
- Enrollment: Must be NC Medicaid credentialed.
- Background: Clean background is highly preferred. No recent or open malpractice cases.
- Credentialing: Rapid 14-day process.
