Locum Psychiatrist - Inpatient & Emergency Medicine Consult Call

About the Opportunity:

Hospital is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist for ongoing locum call coverage. This role involves providing call support for both the inpatient psychiatric unit (adults only) and Emergency Medicine consults. You will be part of a team that includes an APP supporting all providers on the inpatient unit. Depending on the resident schedule, residents may take the first call. There is a preferred opportunity to teach medical students and residents.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing beeper call coverage for the inpatient adult psychiatric unit and Emergency Medicine consults on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation.
• Participating in a rotating evening call schedule.
• Responding to calls in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Providing guidance and treatment recommendations via phone and in-person as needed.
• Collaborating with the on-site APP and other medical staff.

Call Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, including rotating evening call. Residents may take first call depending on schedule.

Support Staff: One APP per all providers on the inpatient unit. Nursing staff.

Minimum Board Certification: Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) in Psychiatry.
