We are seeking a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for a high-yield, 5-day holiday call block in North Carolina. This assignment focuses on general orthopedic management and low-acuity trauma, with premium on-site accommodations provided to ensure the facility's strict 20-minute response time is met.
?Clinical Details & Expectations
- Format: 24-Hour Emergency Call.
- Daily Volume Projections:
- 0–3 consults per day.
- 0–2 ED visits for closed reductions and admissions.
- 0–2 surgeries per day (typically wrist, ankle, and hip fractures; I&D).
- Trauma Scope: Long bone trauma is strictly stabilized and transferred out.
- Gratis Requirement: Gratis hours are capped at 4 hours daily. Providers offering fewer than 4 gratis hours will not be reviewed.
- EMR: MediTech Expansion.
Requirements
- Certification: Board Certified (BC) in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Licensure: Active North Carolina (NC) Medical License & NC DEA (registered with an NC address).
- Enrollment: Must be fully credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and actively enrolled as a provider in PECOS.
- Life Support: Active ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
- Health Policy: Provider must be vaccinated.
