Locum General Cardiologist - Call & Clinic

Start Date: As Soon As Possible (ASAP), with specific dates needed through April 1, and ongoing needs beyond.

Coverage Type: Call and Clinic

Schedule: 24-hour call coverage with integrated clinic hours.

• Call: 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM).
• Clinic: 2-4 hours of outpatient clinic patients, Monday through Friday only.
• Hospital Responsibilities: Hospital rounding and consults (onsite hospitalists will admit and bed patients). Report reads (EKGs, ECHOes, etc.).

About the Opportunity:

Hospital a chest pain accredited facility, is looking to expand its provider pool of General Cardiologists to fill scheduling needs, both for specific dates through April 1, and on an ongoing basis as additional dates become available. This opportunity offers a blend of hospital-based responsibilities and outpatient clinic work, integrated with 24-hour call coverage. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing 24-hour on-call coverage for general cardiology needs.
• Performing hospital rounding and consults (hospitalists manage admissions and bedding).
• Interpreting cardiac reports, including EKGs and ECHOes.
• Seeing 2-4 hours of outpatient clinic patients on Mondays through Fridays.
• Maintaining availability for hospital needs as they arise during call coverage.
• Maintaining accurate and timely patient records in the McKesson Paragon EMR system.

Call Schedule: 24-hour call coverage (0700-0700).

Clinic Schedule: 2-4 hours, Monday through Friday only.

Hospital Responsibilities: Rounding, consults, report reads.

Minimum Board Certification: Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) in Cardiology - General.

EMR System: McKesson Paragon
