General Surgery Locum Opportunity in Montana

We are seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon to provide dedicated coverage for a maternity leave in 2026. This role is strictly focused on Emergency General Surgery (EGS) with no trauma responsibilities, offering a structured "7-on, 2-weeks-off" rotation.

Position Overview

• Start Date: May 1, 2026
• End Date: August 31, 2026
• Coverage Type: Call Only (In-house)
• Schedule: 7 days on / 14 days off
• Purpose: Maternity leave vacancy.

Shift & Call Details

• Day Shift: 12-hour In-house shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
• Night Shift: 2nd Call backup coverage (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
• Clinical Scope: Emergency General Surgery only.
• Trauma: No Trauma coverage required.

• EMR: Cerner.
• Facility Setting: Hospital-based surgical call.
• Team Structure: Collaborative environment with primary night call coverage in place (this role serves as 2nd call backup for nights).

Candidate Requirements

• Certification: Board Certified (BC) in General Surgery.
• Licensure: Active state medical license (as per facility location).

Experience: Proficiency in a broad range of emergency general surgical procedures.
