We are seeking a Eligible Hematologist Oncologist for a long-term, full-time assignment in Missouri. This position is ideal for a provider who can commit to an exclusive, comprehensive monthly schedule—the facility will not accept job-share arrangements (e.g., 3 weeks on / 2 weeks off). You will work alongside an established, full-time team within a state-of-the-art cancer center.
?Clinical Details & Schedule
- Clinic Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Schedule Flexibility: Opportunity for a half-day off during the week (Monday–Thursday), balanced with hospital call.
- Volume Matrix:
- Clinic Census: 15–23 patients per shift.
- Night Call Census: 1–2 patients per night.
- Case Mix: 40% Hematology / 60% Medical Oncology. Primarily managing standard solid tumors and benign/malignant hematology. No acute leukemia or highly aggressive malignant hematology.
- Procedures: Inpatient and outpatient consultations, standard follow-ups. Bone Marrow Biopsies (BMB) are preferred, but the facility can work around a provider who does not perform them.
- Admissions: Handled directly by the hospitalist team.
- Call Profile: Beeper call with phone consultations and occasional rounding over the weekend.
- EMR: Epic.
Requirements
- Certification: Board Eligible (BE) in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
- Licensure: Active Missouri (MO) Medical License or active IMLC assignment eligibility.
- Life Support: Active ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications.
- Staff Structure: The clinic is fully staffed by 2 full-time physicians and 2 full-time APPs.
