HOSPITAL IS LOOKING TO ADD A PATHOLOGIST TO THEIR TEAM!

Reason for Coverage: Open position due to resignation

Dates of Coverage:  August 10, 2026 until position is filled and new hire starts

Credentialing: Takes approximately 90-days to complete.

Practice Setting: Hospital-Based Pathology Lab

Schedule:  Day shift, hours between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm depending on rotation

Call Schedule:  Every 7 days

Call Ratio: 1:7

Approx. Number of Cases Read Per Day:  80 to 100

What Will Be the Locum Tenen Physician’s Responsibility for the Clinical Lab:  Blood bank call at night

Will the Locum Provider Be Responsible for Grossing Their Own Specimens:  No

Will the Locum Provider Be Cutting Their Own Frozen Sections on the Cryostat: No

How Many Physicians in the Group:  6

How Many Histotechnologists: 5

How Many Pathology Assistants:  1

How Many Cytotechnologists: 1

Will the Locum Tenens Physician be Required to Supervise Other Healthcare Providers: No

Will Other Pathologists Be Present During the Locum's Coverage: Yes

Cytology Proficiency Exam Required for GYN Cytolology:No

• Surgical Pathology
• GI Pathology
• GU Pathology
• Neuropathology
• Dermatopathology
• Hematopathology (Bone Marrow, Lymph Nodes)
• Interpretation of Bone Marrow Aspirate/bx
• Cytology

REQUIRED CLINICAL PATHOLOGY PROCEDURES

• Hematology
• Microbiology
• Chemistry/Serology
• Blood Bank

ADDITONAL REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Rapid evaluation of adequacy for image-guided biopsies

Submission Requirements

• Board Certified [REQUIRED]
• Active MN license [PREFERRED]
• Able to perform all required procedures listed above- please note at name clear
• NPDB- pulled within 30-days of presentation [REQUIRED]
• EPIC experience [PREFERRED]
