We are seeking multiple qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) providers for ongoing locum tenens coverage starting late this summer. This position offers exceptional scheduling flexibility within a medically directed, highly collaborative team at a Level I trauma network.
?Position Overview
- Specialty: CRNA
- Start Date: August 31, 2026 (Open weekly blocks ongoing)
- Schedule Pattern: Main focus is Monday – Friday, with the occasional option to pick up weekend shifts.
- Shift Configurations: * Weekdays (Mon–Fri): Choice of 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts.
- Weekends (Sat–Sun): Choice of 12 or 16-hour shifts.
- Note: All shifts include a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Clinical Scope & Practice Details
- Practice Model: Medically directed environment working alongside a collegial team of Anesthesiologists.
- Patient Care: 1:1 patient care model covering all age groups (neonates to geriatrics).
- Daily Case Volume: Averages 1–2 longer cases or 3–4 shorter cases per 8-hour shift.
- Case Mix: High-acuity, busy surgical schedule encompassing all major specialties except transplants and pediatric hearts.
- Procedural Environments: Main operating rooms, Cath Lab, GI, EP, MRI, and CT suites.
Rotational Coverage Locations
Providers may rotate through the following regional network facilities:
- Medical Center (Duluth, MN): A high-acuity, 344-bed state-of-the-art tertiary hospital and Level I Trauma Center (Newly opened facility).
- Facility (Duluth, MN): 165-bed hospital featuring 11 ORs (~80% outpatient cases).
- Surgery Center-Miller Hill (Duluth, MN): 4-OR outpatient surgical center.
- Endoscopy Center (Duluth, MN): Dedicated GI and procedural site.
- Hospital Superior (Superior, WI): A 2-OR and 2-Endo suite facility (~90% outpatient surgery).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Graduate (Master's or Doctorate) of an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
- Certification: Certified by the NBCRNA. (Also open to recent graduates from an accredited program who are actively awaiting initial certification).
- Required Cards: BCLS (CPR) and ACLS certifications.
- Licensure: Active Minnesota (MN) CRNA license or the immediate ability to obtain one. (Wisconsin license is a plus for regional rotation flexibility).
