General Surgery Locum Opportunity in Michigan

Hospital is recruiting General Surgeon for Hospital call coverage.

Job Details:

Coverage type: Hospital Call

Coverage details: Level 3 Trauma center. Call covers in hospital consults, ED trauma and general surgery call, and transfer call center patients

Patient per day:  5-8 consults per 24-hour call

Number of providers in the clinic and on-site services (lab, radiology, procedure room): Current 1 app floor rounder. all DI capabilities excluding barium enema or esophageal / swallow studies

Current EHR System: Cerner

Procedures / Skills Expected

• General Surgical Cases ADULT
• General Surgical Cases TRAUMA
• Central Line Insertion
• Chest Tube Insertion
• Abdominal
• Vascular Access Devices
• Cholecystectomy

Requirement:

• Board Certified in General Surgery
• Must have an active MI license; will not accept IMLC.
• Must be local - drive-in candidates, no FLIGHT
• DEA
• Copy of the NPDB, self-query requires at presentation (Should be pulled within 30 days)
