Critical July 2026 Dates

• Mandatory Orientation: Thursday, July 2 (@ 0830–1500).
• Block 1 (Holiday): Friday, July 3 (@ 0700) – Thursday, July 9 (@ 0700).
• Block 2: Thursday, July 16 (@ 0700) – Tuesday, July 21 (@ 0700).

Clinical Environment & Scope

• Facility: ASC verified Level III Trauma Facility.
• Scope: Bread-and-butter cases (fractures, sports, general). No Spine.
• Complexity: Complicated or "sick" patients are typically transferred out.
• Support: Orthopaedic PAs, full surgical staff, and a completely digital Radiology department.
• Workflow: Surgeon only comes in if the ED requests a consult. General Surgeons handle wound care.

Mandatory Provider Qualifications

• Board Status: Must hold active ABOS certification (American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery). NBPAS is NOT accepted.
• Licensure: Active Michigan (MI) License, MI CDS, and MI DEA must be in hand.
• Skill Set: General Ortho is required; skills in Total Joints are highly preferred to complement the existing practice.

• Process: 30-Day timeline.
• Urgency: Given today is April 6, we have plenty of time for the July start, but the facility is looking for one consistent surgeon to fill these rotating blocks.
