Cardiothoracic Surgery Locum Opportunity in Michigan

Hospital is urgently seeking a Board-Certified (BC) Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for immediate and continuous coverage, addressing a critical recruitment gap.

Assignment Details

Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery

Start Date: November 24, 2025 (ASAP)

End Date: February 27, 2026 (Continuous Coverage)

Coverage Type: Clinic Only (Surgical and Clinic Services)

Call Requirement: No Call (Based on provided data, assumed dedicated coverage during scheduled hours)

EMR: Cerner

Schedule & Scope of Work

Coverage Required: Monday to Friday/Saturday and Sunday (Full-week coverage expected for the entire period).

Service Scope: Cardiothoracic surgical services for cardiovascular and trauma cases.

Patients Per Day: Approximately 5.

Support:

Fully staffed clinic.

RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) and APP (Advanced Practice Provider) coverage provided.

Facility Resources:

Full Cath lab capabilities.

Dedicated Cardiothoracic surgical service suite.

Procedures/Skills Required

The physician must be proficient in a range of complex Cardiothoracic and Vascular procedures, including:

Aneurysm repairs

Thoracic surgery

Arterial bypass procedures

Peripheral vascular procedures

Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repairs

Bypass surgery

Submission Requirements (MUST be Notated at Time of Name Clear)

License: Must have an active Michigan (MI) license [REQUIRED].

Certification: Board Certified (BC) [REQUIRED].

Credentialing: MUST already be internally credentialed with the agency [REQUIRED].

History: NO malpractice history and a clean background [REQUIRED].
