We are seeking a Board-Eligible (BE) or Board-Certified (BC) Critical Care Physician (Intensivist) for immediate vacation coverage in Maryland, focused on daytime inpatient critical care consulting.
Assignment Details

- End Date: Ongoing (Need is for vacations/PTO; no long-term standing need)
- Coverage Type: Clinic Only (Inpatient Coverage)
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- EMR: Epic
- Credentialing Timeline: 30 Days (Expedited Privileges)
- Current and Priority Coverage Need
- The highest priority need is for the block from December 29, 2025, through January 4, 2026.
- Must input in the presentation if the locum can cover the 12/29 – 01/04 dates.
Scope of Work & Procedures
- Role: The Intensivist acts primarily as a consultant to the hospitalist and trauma physicians.
- ICU Model: This is an Open ICU. Admissions are managed by the hospitalist and trauma teams.
- Average Patient Census: 8 patients.
- Support: Anesthesia is in-house 24/7 for support.
- Common Procedures (Patient Conditions): Management of DKA, Pneumonia, and Sepsis.
Requirements
- Certification: BE or BC in Critical Care.
- License: Must have an Active Maryland (MD) License.
- Note: We are NOT accepting IMLC candidates at this time.
