Cardiology Locum Job in New Albany, IN

Shifts: 

• 8a-4:30p, Fri Night Call, Weekend Call
• June 2-6
• June 9-11 
• June 23-25 
• July 14-18
• August 2-17
• Sept 2-5 & Sept 22-26
• Oct 6-10
• Nov 3-14
• Dec 1-7
• Dec 20-24

Submission Requirements: 

• Credentials Accepted: Physician (MD/DO)
• Board level: BC Preferred
• Epic Experience
• Required Certifications:  BLS, ACLS, ATLS, DEA Certificate

Description : 

• Locums will work the same location per day not moving from location to location per day. May be in one location per week and will have confirmed locations during privileging stages.
• Locums will be needed to work M-F and should provide dates of availability to work with the presentation, and will be requested to work one weekend per month if possible.
• Facility looking for a provider to start in June (pending credentialing) with support through December 2025, with possible needs into 2026. 
• Locums will support satellite offices in the community working in medical offices Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm clinic hours.
• Locums should be willing to take an occasional weekend call during the contract, but is not required for every week for clinic support.

• Workload: Adults 18+
• Management of risk factors for cardiovascular disease prevention and early diagnosis, and intervention for established disease are important to cardiology. Diseases typically seen by a cardiologist include:
• Coronary artery disease
• Ischemic heart disease
• Pericardial disease
• Cardiomyopathies
• Endocarditis
• Dysrhythmias
• Valvular heart disease
• Congenital heart disease in adults
• Disorders of the veins, arteries and pulmonary circulation
• Est Patient Load: 20 established patients and 5 new patients, with the potential to see 5 urgent/new for a total of 30. Once onboarded and established, numbers will be lower for new locums until they are to speed..
