Anesthesiology Locum Opportunity in Illinois

Medical Center is actively seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join their team.

Schedule:  

• 700-1700 or 700-1900, will consider 700-1500 but less likely
•  M-F, but able to support 12 hour or 10 hour shifts
• They will not hold providers late for OT. However, locums are eligible to work extra shifts if they would like on their days off.
• No call required.

• Dates of Coverage: Starting in December and ongoing - looking for extended coverage
• Reason for Coverage: While we recruit new hires
• Practice Setting: Hospital based
• Documentation System/EMR: 1epic
• Will CRNA be Supervised or Work Independently?: Supervised by Anesthesiologist (MD/DO)
• Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: 55 in main, 30 in ASC, 40 in GI, 10 in other off sites
• Trauma Level/Designation:  Level 1
• Description of OR Staff: Highly trained in all specialties, collaborative, supportive and engaging
• Number of Operating Rooms:  24 ORs in main hospital, 8 in ASC (ambulatory), 2 labor and delivery ORs (CRNAs do not staff), 4 GI lab sites, 1 bronch lab twice a week. 1 MRI once a week, 2 EP labs 5 days a week, 1 cath lab intermittent (neuroradiology/cardiology), 1 interventional radiology
• Patient Age Demographic: all ages, though CRNAs typically do not care for patients under the age of 2
• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe:  90-120 days
• Provider Must be Local - Only Mileage is Reimbursed

Procedures Required:  

• General Surgical Cases ADULT
• Plexus anesthesia
• Minor Nerve Blocks
• nerve blocks and plexus - few if any
• Ventilation Management
• Neurosurgical Cases
• Regional Anesthesia
• Epidural Anesthesia
• Spinal Anesthesia
• Ventilation mgmt - only in OR

Submission Requirements

• Board Certified - REQUIRED
• IL State License (Will accept those willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
• ACLS, BLS - REQUIRED
• Provider Must be Local
