Emergency Medicine Locum Opportunity in Iowa

Medical Center is looking for an Emergency Medicine Physician to fill their full-time need!

Schedule:

• Shifts per month: 3 - 24 hour shifts/payperiod (minimum)
• Shift length: 24 hours; 7a-7a (occasionally 12 hour shifts)
• On Call: in-house coverage (provider sleep room available)

March 1 @ 7a – March 2 @ 7a

March 18 @ 7a – March 21 @ 7a

March 22 @ 7a – March 23 @ 7a

March 25 @ 7a – March 28 @ 7a

March 29 @ 7a – March 30 @ 7a

Provider daily volume: Average 4 ED patients/day

Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: Average 4 inpatients (obs, acute and swingbed)

EMR: TogetherCare (EPIC)

Inpatient Responsibilities: Yes

Outreach: No

Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 4

Supervision of APPs expected: No

Nursing Support: 2 RNs for all services 

Ancillary Staff per provider: 1 CNA

Number Exam Rooms per provider: 3 ED treatment rooms, 20 inpatient beds

Medical Imaging: Yes

Lab & Pharmacy: Yes

Services offered in the practice: Medical Center is a Critical Access Hospital that offers comprehensive care. The hospital features a 3-bed Emergency Department. It includes a 20-bed medical-surgical department to support a wide range of inpatient needs. Services also include a wide range of outpatient services, including laboratory, radiology, rehabilitation services, infusion service, and ambulatory surgery.

• Board Certified - ABEM or FP/IM with recent EM experience [REQUIRED]
