??Position Highlights & Requirements
We are seeking a seasoned, highly experienced Board Certified Neurosurgeon with deep expertise in neuro-oncology for an ongoing locum tenens role in Florida. You will partner with an established neurosurgical team to manage and perform complex brain and spinal tumor procedures without the burden of routine clinic or call.
- Licensure: Active Florida (FL) State Medical License or active IMLC required.
- Certifications: Board Certified (BC) in Neurological Surgery, active BLS, and PALS.
- EHR System: Cerner.
- Practice Focus: High-acuity neuro-oncology cases (brain and spinal cord tumor resections) working in tandem with the primary attending neurosurgeon.
- Work-Life Balance: Zero call requirements and zero routine clinic days (clinic is limited strictly to select, high-value pre-operative planning visits if helpful).
Practice Model & Scope of Responsibilities
- Surgical Schedule: Onsite approximately 1–2 days per week to execute complex neuro-oncology surgical cases.
- Pre-Operative Collaboration: Participation in virtual/telehealth multidisciplinary case conferences and tumor boards for pre-operative planning and care coordination.
- Post-Operative Continuity: Support continuity of care through post-operative consultations (typically evaluating patients by post-op day two).
