Summary: Hospital is looking for Urgent December coverage with their Gastroenterology team. The site requires ERCP and EUS to be considered.
Schedule/Availability Requirements:
- All shifts end the following morning at 7a.
- June 23-28
- July 20-26
- Aug 30-Sept 3
- Sept 11-12
- Nov 7-11
- Nov 30-Dec 5
- Dec 26-31
- Jan 2027 ongoing dates will be presented once these dates have been filled.
Details:
- 24 hour call - 7a-7a
- 5-7 days per month, ongoing into 2025.
- Setting: Inpatient
- Level 1 Trauma
- Required Procedures/Job duties: Scoping, ERCP, EUS, Endoscopy, GI Bleed, Evaluation of GI problems.
- EMR: EPIC
- Support Staff: None
- Reason for coverage: Gaps in coverage.
Credentialing Information:
- Timeframe: 60-90 day standard, Emergency privs 1-2 weeks with clean file.

- Requirements: Self inquiry NPDB report must be provided and CO license or Active IMLC to release preapplication.
- Requirements: Preapp and full app must be submitted right away for urgent dates needed to allow for AD account creation with EMR.
- Billing enrollment - Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less?: No
Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:
- Patient population: Adult, Geriatric, Adolescent
- Admissions, 8-10 new patients & follow ups. 5-8 scopes per day.
- 15 years old and 50 kilograms for a pediatric trauma. Otherwise, Pediatric patients are not admitted to the facility.
- GI does not admit they are just a consult service.
- 24/7 intensivists & hospitalists at site.
- 24/7 Trauma Services at site.
Submission Requirements
- Board Certified Gastroenterology - [REQUIRED]
- Active CO License or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission) - [REQUIRED]
- Active DEA - [REQUIRED] Required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked.)
- Candidates must be available for any of the dates detailed in job description to be considered for ongoing dates - [REQUIRED]
- Candidates must detail the # of shifts per month ongoing they can offer to the site - [REQUIRED]
- Candidates must be able to perform ERCP & EUS to be considered and are required to note in presentation - [REQUIRED]
- Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - [REQUIRED]
- Local/drive-in candidates - [HIGHLY PREFERRED] , will place providers who are local as a Tier 1 provider.
- Gastroenterology Fellowship - [REQUIRED]
- Clean Malpractice/background - [HIGHLY PREFERRED] - Candidates with self inquiry NPDB report will be placed with priority over those that dont present with it.
