Locum Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - General Surgery

?Start Date: As soon as credentialing can be completed, with specific need for August 25th - 31st, 2025, and ongoing coverage of 7-14 days per month.

Coverage Type: Surgical Assisting and Clinic

Schedule:

• Surgical Assisting: 7-14 days per month, dates may vary.
• Clinic: Approximately 8 hours per week, days and hours may vary.
• Specific Dates Needed: August 25th, 2025 - August 31st, 2025.

About the Opportunity:

Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a preference for surgical assisting experience to provide locum coverage for our General Surgery team. This opportunity involves a combination of surgical assisting duties and outpatient clinic work, requiring a commitment of 7-14 days per month, including a specific need for August 25th - 31st, 2025.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing surgical assisting services in the operating room.
• Managing pre- and post-operative patient care.
• Conducting outpatient clinic sessions, approximately 8 hours per week, with varying days and times.

Qualifications:

• Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in California (CA) is required.
• ATLS certification is required.
• Surgical assisting experience is preferred.
• Experience in general surgery is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical and surgical skills.

Coverage Needs: 7-14 days per month, including the specific dates of August 25th - 31st, 2025. Clinic schedule is approximately 8 hours per week with variable days/hours.

Surgical Assisting: Preferred.

Required Certifications: Active CA license and ATLS.
