Diagnostic Radiology with Mammography (biopsy) privileges.
Schedule/Availability Requirements:
- Start: August
- Duration: 9-12 months, Monday-Friday, 2 weeks per month
- Shift time: 8a-4p
- Any call? No
- Setting: Outpatient Clinic
- Duties: Reading studies of all modalities in addition to diagnostic mammograms with breast biopsies
- Required Procedures: Read Mammo, PET and perform breast biopsies
- EMR: Cerner
- Support Staff: Radiology techs, US techs, other support staff
- Reason for Coverage: Current locum required to take 6 month break
Credentialing Information: 90-120 days hospital and foundation privileges required. Hospital and Foundation privileges

Types of cases:
- The average monthly volumes are below. Keep in mind that we have a radiologist on site for mammography 3 days/week.
- Procedures (wire loc, biopsy, etc): 13
- Screening Mammos: 225
- Diagnostic Mammograms: 30
- They would be asked to read during the day from the list of radiology studies from the emergency department and inpatient. But if there is anything they don’t feel comfortable reading, they do have the option to send to MRG which is our Teleradiology group.
For the Radiologist in building 4,
We mainly need them for mammography and breast biopsies. If they are able to read PET, that would be great appreciated in addition to any other studies (CT, MRI, X-ray, US, etc)
Submission Requirements
- Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology or Board Eligible - providers must note in the Additional Submission Details section that they will obtain certification. - [Highly preferred]

- Residency Requirements/Fellowship – No specific fellowship. Ability to perform diagnostic mammograms and biopsies - [Required]
- BLS/ACLS and DEA during credentialing - [Required]
- Malpractice – Clean [Highly Preferred]
- Self-Query NPDB report is mandatory at the time of presentation. The Self-Query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of the presentation date. - [REQUIRED]
