Neurological Surgery Locum Opportunity in California

Locums | Eureka, CA Neurosurgery SCHEDULE 

• Coverage Type: Inpatient and Outpatient 

• Schedule Type: Clinic and Call 

• Call Type: Weeknight Beeper and 24 Hour Weekend Beeper Call Nov 21-Dec 8 and Dec 27-Jan 5 Provider will be expected to be in clinic and on call from 830am-5pm on weekdays. They will then be on night call from 5pm-8:30am the next day (billed at the night call rate). Weekends will be 24hr call coverage. We would like to note they may not be in clinic all 5 days during the dates listed but it is a possibility. 

• Dates of Need: See above 

• Shift Times: 8:30am-5pm , 5pm-8:30am 

• Guaranteed Hours per Day: 8 

• Hours Worked for OT to apply: 9 hours per day 

• Clinic & Call: Regular, Orientation, Overtime, Holiday, Night Call, 24 Hour Call, Call-Back.

CREDENTIALING 

• License: Active or IMLC 

• DEA Required: Yes 

• Boards: Must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency is an option but we are looking at BC. 

• Skills/Certs: Will see complex spine cases, No airway certifications required 

• Other: FLURO certification is required (they can have the temp FLURO) We will need providers to submit during the privileging process 100 cases within the past 24 months specific to the privileges being requested. Attached is a new privileging form that will set expectations for what is needed once a provider is confirmed. Please consider starting to ensure your provider has all of these items to ensure they can qualify for privileges at the time of confirmation. 

o All HBS specialties require 2 years of current Hospital clinical activity in the specialty. o Gaps greater than 3 months must be explained. 

o Include current number of case logs upon presentation for surgical specialties.
